Abstract
　Large landslide of Mt. Ishikura developed from heavy rainfall in north-central Kyushu in July 1990. Fukutoku area located at the base of the mountain, 126 inhabitants of the 51 households were recommended to evacuate from their homes about half a year. A questionnaire survey was undertaken to elucidate consciousness and behavior of inhabitants against the landslide, valuation of evacuation plan for inhabitants, effect of evacuation on economics and psychological effect.
